Position Summary

The Simulator Instructor conducts approved new-hire, upgrade, and recurrent pilot training programs. The position requires extensive knowledge of aircraft systems, procedures, and training standards to support pilot proficiency and performance.

Schedule

• Full-time, permanent.

Responsibilities

• Deliver approved new-hire, upgrade, and recurrent simulator training.
• Demonstrate enthusiasm and passion for teaching.
• Maintain a high level of knowledge of aircraft systems and procedures.
• Recognize, identify, and correct student deficiencies.
• Maintain professionalism in appearance and demeanor.
• Demonstrate thorough knowledge of the GOM, CFM, FOTM, and company training materials.
• Complete student training records in a timely manner.
• Perform additional duties assigned by the Manager of Standards and Training or Director of Training.

Requirements

• Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate.
• Eligibility for an Embraer E170 PIC Type Rating.
• Minimum one year of experience as PIC or SIC in a transport-category airplane.
• Ability to pass a 10-year background check.
• Meet Flight Instructor qualifications under 14 CFR 121.412.
• Excellent communication skills.

• Previous or current employment with Mesa Airlines, Inc.
