Bowman is an engineering, infrastructure, and geospatial services company supporting aerial mapping, surveying, and data acquisition operations across the United States.
Position Summary
Bowman is seeking a Survey Pilot II / A&P Mechanic to support aerial mapping, data acquisition, and aircraft maintenance operations while operating single-engine and multi-engine aircraft in accordance with company and FAA standards.
Schedule
Full-time position supporting aerial survey, mapping, and aircraft maintenance operations.
Responsibilities
• Plan and execute aerial photography and data acquisition missions
• Conduct pre-flight and post-flight aircraft inspections
• Coordinate with ATC, TRACON, Military, and Special Use Airspace authorities
• Operate aircraft in compliance with FAA regulations and company SOPs
• Monitor weather conditions and coordinate with Flight Operations
• Manage fueling, weight and balance calculations, and aircraft loading
• Maintain personal and aircraft flight logs
• Coordinate travel arrangements and operational logistics
• Participate in pilot and maintenance training sessions
• Support updates to operational manuals and procedures
• Assist with scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance
• Coordinate maintenance support and parts procurement while in the field
• Complete maintenance logbook entries and FAA documentation
• Support aircraft return-to-service operations
Requirements
• Commercial Pilot Certificate required
• Instrument Rating required
• Multi-Engine Rating required
• High Performance endorsement required
• Current Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate required
• FAA 1st or 2nd Class Medical
• High School Diploma or GED required
• 500+ flight hours required
• Valid driver’s license
• Valid passport or ability to obtain one within three months
• Microsoft Office proficiency
• Cell phone with texting capability
• Personal credit card with $3,000 available credit for travel expenses
Preferred Qualifications
• Associate degree in Aviation or related field
• CFI preferred
• CFII preferred
• 1,000+ total time preferred
• 250+ multi-engine PIC preferred
