Position Summary

The First Officer supports Part 121 regional airline operations while assisting the Captain in the safe and efficient transportation of passengers throughout SkyWest’s network. The role offers multiple pathway options for ATP and Restricted ATP-qualified pilots and provides opportunities for career advancement through partnerships with major airlines.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Captain during all phases of flight operations
• Conduct safe and compliant Part 121 airline operations
• Adhere to FAA regulations and company procedures
• Support passenger transportation operations
• Participate in recurrent training and qualification programs
• Maintain operational readiness and professionalism

Requirements

ATP Certificate Holder

• Minimum Age: 23
• 1,500 Total Flight Hours
• 500 Cross Country Hours
• 100 Night Hours
• 75 Instrument Hours
• 25 Actual Multi-Engine Hours

Restricted ATP Holder (1,500 Hours)

• Minimum Age: 21
• 1,500 Total Flight Hours
• 200 Cross Country Hours
• 100 Night Hours
• 75 Instrument Hours
• 25 Actual Multi-Engine Hours

Restricted ATP Holder (1,250 Hours)

• Minimum Age: 21
• Associate Degree from approved institution
• 30 Aviation Credit Hours
• Instrument Commercial Rating earned under Part 141
• 200 Cross Country Hours
• 100 Night Hours
• 75 Instrument Hours
• 25 Actual Multi-Engine Hours

Restricted ATP Holder (1,000 Hours)

• Minimum Age: 21
• Bachelor’s Degree from approved institution
• 60 Aviation Credit Hours
• Instrument Commercial Rating earned under Part 141
• 200 Cross Country Hours
• 100 Night Hours
• 75 Instrument Hours

Restricted ATP Holder (750 Hours)

• Military Pilot
• DD-214 Honorable Discharge or Current Service Record
