Position Summary
The Adjunct Assistant Professor – Aviation teaches courses within Aviation Administration, Professional Pilot, and Air Traffic Control programs. The position supports student learning through classroom instruction while contributing expertise in aviation-related disciplines and fostering student engagement in higher education.
Responsibilities
• Teach aviation-related courses as assigned
• Provide instruction in Aviation Administration, Professional Pilot, and/or Air Traffic Control subject areas
• Support student learning and academic success
• Maintain effective communication and collaboration with students and faculty
• Participate in student-centered educational activities
• Support diversity, inclusion, and civic engagement initiatives as appropriate
Requirements
• Master’s Degree in Aviation or closely related field
OR
• Master’s Degree in another discipline with demonstrated aviation and/or Air Traffic Control education, experience, or scholarship
Preferred Qualifications
• Certified Flight Instructor (CFI)
• FAA Certified Advanced Ground Instructor (AGI)
• Certified Flight Instructor Instrument (CFII)
• Multi-Engine Instructor (MEI)
• FAA Certified Air Traffic Controller (Tower, Center, and/or TRACON)
