    Captain Helicopter Pilot

Description

Position Summary

The IFR Pilot serves as Captain in Helicopter Air Ambulance (HAA) operations, providing critical air medical transportation services under CAMTS guidelines. The pilot is responsible for safe and efficient flight operations, supporting life-saving missions, maintaining regulatory compliance, participating in safety initiatives, and providing exceptional service to patients, medical crews, and healthcare partners.


Schedule

• 7 Days On / 7 Days Off
• 24-Hour Operations
• Day and Night Rotation
• Schedule changes may be required based on operational needs


Responsibilities

• Perform line pilot duties in accordance with the General Operations Manual (GOM)
• Conduct Helicopter Air Ambulance operations under CAMTS guidelines
• Support Safety Management System initiatives and company safety programs
• Provide safe, efficient, courteous, and reliable service
• Participate in community outreach activities
• Assist with loading and unloading patients and medical equipment
• Maintain compliance with company policies and operational procedures
• Work collaboratively with internal and external customers to support air medical missions


Requirements

• Commercial Helicopter Certificate
• Instrument Helicopter Rating
• FAA First Class Medical Certificate
• 2,000 Hours Total Flight Time
• 1,500 Hours Helicopter Time
• 1,000 Hours PIC Helicopter Time
• 500 Hours Turbine Helicopter Time
• 100 Hours Unaided Night Operations

OR

• 50 Hours Unaided Night Operations and 100 Hours Night Vision Goggle (NVG) Time

• 75 Hours Instrument Time (Actual and Hood)
• Ability to meet company weight restriction of 235 pounds or less
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to pass physical examination, drug screening, and background screening
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds while assisting with patient and equipment loading operations
• Must reside within one hour of the assigned base
