Position Summary

The Light Twin Instructor Pilot is responsible for providing multi-engine and single-engine flight instruction and conducting FAA Event Based Currency Program check rides in the PA-44 and Cessna 172. This position emphasizes safe flight operations, standardized instruction, and recurrent pilot training while supporting the organization’s Safety Management System.

Responsibilities
• Provide flight instruction and check rides in the PA-44 and Cessna 172.
• Conduct pre-flight and post-flight briefings.
• Instruct normal and emergency procedures.
• Maintain proficiency in aircraft systems and avionics.
• Conduct all instructional activities in accordance with the Safety Management System (SMS).
• Serve as Pilot in Command during assigned training flights.
• Apply Crew Resource Management (CRM) principles.
• Complete all required flight documentation.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements
• FAA Certified Flight Instructor (CFI).
• FAA Certified Flight Instructor Instrument (CFII).
• FAA Multi-Engine Instructor (MEI).
• FAA Second-Class Medical Certificate.
• Minimum 400 Total Flight Hours.
• Minimum 200 Pilot in Command (PIC) Hours.
• Minimum 100 Hours Airplane Multi-Engine Land (AMEL).
• Minimum 50 Hours AMEL Dual Given.
• Flight instruction experience within the previous 24 months.
• Ability to obtain an FAA Security Clearance.
• Ability to pass background investigation and drug screening.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Aviation or related field.
• Garmin G500 experience.
• Garmin G1000 experience.
