First Officer
Description
Position Summary
The First Officer is responsible for delivering excellent customer service while ensuring safe and timely flight operations in accordance with company policies and Federal Aviation Regulations. This position supports all phases of flight operations and requires flexibility to work weekends, holidays, nights, and overnight trips.
Responsibilities
• Ensure safe and timely completion of flight operations in accordance with company policies and Federal Aviation Regulations
• Assist in the operation of the aircraft during assigned duty periods
• Complete pre-flight and post-flight inspections to ensure aircraft airworthiness
• Review existing and forecast weather conditions prior to each flight
• Ensure flights are properly planned and fueled
• Assist with the handling of aircraft, passengers, baggage, and cargo
• Maintain awareness of on-time departures
• Notify crew and passengers of turbulence, weather conditions, or operational factors affecting the flight
• Review load manifests and verify passenger counts prior to departure
Requirements
• 1,500 hours total flight time
• Current FAA First Class Medical Certificate
• ATP Certificate
• FCC Restricted Radio Operator Permit
• Valid U.S. Passport with machine-readable print, or valid foreign passport with authorization to work in the United States
• Ability to travel in and out of all cities and countries served by the airline
• Ability to relocate
• Ability and willingness to work weekends, nights, holidays, overnight trips, and red-eye flights
• Ability to maintain a professional appearance
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug testing and background checks
Preferred Qualifications
• 2,500 hours total flight time
• 750 hours multi-engine fixed-wing time
• 500 hours PIC time
• 500 hours jet or turboprop time
• Experience with Electronic Flight Instrument Systems (EFIS)
• Experience with Flight Management Systems (FMS)
