Position Summary
The Flight Instructor is responsible for providing high-quality flight and ground instruction while maintaining the highest standards of safety, professionalism, and air discipline. This position supports student pilots throughout their training progression, emphasizing safety, risk mitigation, and successful completion of the Professional Pilot Course. Flight Instructors also manage student training portfolios and monitor student progress through all phases of training.

Responsibilities
• Schedule and coordinate student training to ensure satisfactory training progression
• Manage and schedule assigned students
• Provide flight and ground instruction as assigned
• Maintain student training records and required documentation
• Ensure instruction meets or exceeds school and FAA standards
• Attend mandatory standardization training
• Perform Solo Monitor duties as required
• Complete administrative documentation within required timelines
• Develop course outlines, study materials, and instructional procedures
• Conduct classroom instruction on aviation subjects and regulations
• Demonstrate aircraft systems, instruments, and flight techniques using training devices
• Observe and evaluate student performance during flight training
• Conduct written, oral, and performance evaluations of students
• Complete weekly scheduling functions and daily student progress reporting
• Prepare students for flight evaluations and stage checks
• Provide effective feedback and high-quality instruction

Requirements
• High School Diploma or GED
• FAA Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) Certificate
• FAA Class III Medical Certificate
• Ability to manage multiple students and training schedules
• Ability to provide flight and ground instruction in accordance with FAA regulations
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work in varying weather conditions and extended flight training environments

Preferred Qualifications
• Active pursuit of an undergraduate degree
• FAA Certified Flight Instructor Instrument (CFII) Certificate
• FAA Multi-Engine Instructor (MEI) Certificate
• FAA Class II Medical Certificate
