Description
Position Summary
The Bush Pilot Captain is responsible for the safe operation of aircraft supporting remote northern flying operations. This position serves communities throughout the Yukon and northern Canada while conducting bush flying missions in challenging terrain and weather environments.
Responsibilities
• Safely operate aircraft in remote and northern environments
• Conduct bush flying operations in accordance with company procedures
• Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements
• Perform flight planning and operational risk assessments
• Coordinate with company personnel and support teams
• Maintain the highest standards of professionalism and safety
Requirements
• Valid Canadian Commercial Pilot License (CPL) or Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL)
• Valid Category 1 Medical Certificate
• Legal right to work in Canada
• Ability to relocate to Whitehorse, Yukon, Canada or Mayo, Yukon, Canada
• Strong communication and decision-making skills
• Commitment to safety, professionalism, and teamwork
• Minimum 1,000–1,500 hours Total Time
• Minimum 150 hours Mountainous Flying Experience
• Minimum 50 hours on Type
Preferred Qualifications
• Previous bush flying experience
• Northern operations experience
• Float flying experience
