Position Summary

The Aerial Survey Pilot is responsible for safely operating company aircraft while conducting aerial mapping and photographic survey missions throughout the United States and Canada. This position requires extensive cross-country flying, single-pilot multi-engine operations, and the collection of aerial imagery and data in a variety of weather conditions and airspace environments.

Responsibilities

• Conduct aerial survey, mapping, and photographic missions
• Operate multi-engine aircraft in single-pilot operations
• Fly aircraft throughout the lower 48 states and Canada
• Plan and execute cross-country flight operations
• Manage aircraft movements between airports nationwide
• Maintain aircraft cleanliness and appearance
• Complete daily aircraft condition and operational reports
• Coordinate with Flight Operations and Maintenance personnel
• Work with maintenance facilities to ensure aircraft airworthiness
• Operate above 8,000 feet AGL, including Class A airspace
• Conduct flights of up to 8 hours over metropolitan areas
• Navigate complex, high-density, restricted, prohibited, and SFRA airspace

Requirements

• FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate – Multi-Engine
• FAA Instrument Rating
• Current and Proficient Instrument Currency
• High Performance Endorsement
• Complex Endorsement
• First or Second Class FAA Medical Certificate
• Valid Driver’s License
• Current Passport with at least six months validity remaining
• Legal Right to Work in the United States
• Ability to travel throughout the United States and Canada
• Minimum 650 Hours Total Flight Time
• Minimum 40 Hours Multi-Engine Time
• FCC Radiotelephone Operator Permit
• Current and Proficient Multi-Engine Night Experience
