Description
Position Summary
The Flight Instructor is responsible for delivering ground and simulator-based flight training in accordance with aviation regulations and FlightSafety International training standards. This role supports pilots receiving core, specialty, and enrichment training while ensuring high-quality instruction and customer service.
Responsibilities
• Conduct pilot ground and simulator training for clients enrolled in training programs
• Develop and prepare training materials in accordance with approved curricula
• Evaluate trainee progress and recommend qualification or additional training as needed
• Maintain accurate training records for each client
• Identify training issues and seek assistance when necessary
• Maintain instructor qualifications in accordance with regulatory requirements
Requirements
• Must be willing and able to participate in FlightSafety’s DOT Drug and Alcohol Testing Program
• Unrestricted ATP Certificate or ICAO Airline Transport Pilot License
OR
• Must meet the requirements of 14 CFR 61.153
• Must meet the requirements of 14 CFR 61.64 without a Supervised Operating Experience (SOE) limitation
• Minimum one unrestricted PIC type rating
• Knowledge of aviation safety standards and practices
• Knowledge of aviation regulations
• Ability to effectively manage and teach classroom instruction
• Customer service and facilitation skills
• Ability to receive coaching and feedback
Preferred Qualifications
• FAR Part 121 experience
• FAR Part 135 experience
• Military training experience
• 2,500 Hours Total Flight Time
