Description

Position Summary
Seeking an ATR Captain responsible for conducting safe, efficient, compliant, and professional Cargo flight operations. This home-base position serves as Pilot-in-Command and is responsible for flight safety, operational decision-making, regulatory compliance, crew leadership, and ensuring the safe transportation of cargo throughout assigned operations.

Applicants for this position are eligible to participate in the FedEx Purple Runway Program.


Schedule
Two weeks on duty followed by one week off


Responsibilities
• Safely maneuver the aircraft during all phases of flight
• Monitor weather conditions, cargo safety, fuel requirements, and aircraft performance
• Make go/no-go decisions and alternate destination decisions when required
• Maintain command authority during unexpected operational situations
• Communicate with stations, control towers, dispatchers, and flight control personnel
• File required FAA reports and communicate aircraft discrepancies to maintenance and dispatch personnel
• Properly record flight hours and comply with FAA rest requirements and company policies
• Supervise and evaluate personnel as required
• Maintain current knowledge of regulations, policies, procedures, manuals, and operational guidance
• Review company communications, bulletins, emails, and correspondence daily
• Submit expense reports and required documentation accurately and on time
• Serve as a professional leader and positive representative of the flight department
• Perform other duties as assigned


Requirements
• FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate with Multi-Engine Land Rating
• FAA First Class Medical Certificate
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Compliance with FAA and DOT Drug and Alcohol Program requirements
• Minimum 2,500 Total Flight Hours
• Minimum 1,000 PIC Hours
• Minimum 1,000 Multi-Engine Land Hours
• Minimum 300 Turbine or Turboprop Hours
• Minimum 500 Crew Time Hours
• Meet Part 121.436 Pilot Qualification requirements
• Current IFR proficiency and currency
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work outdoors and in aircraft environments
• Ability to stand, walk, sit, bend, and stoop for extended periods
• Ability to work in multiple locations as required
• Must designate an approved home-base airport with qualifying airline service
