Description
Position Summary
The Learjet 60 Captain is responsible for providing a superior air transportation experience while maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism. The Captain serves as Pilot in Command, ensuring safe and efficient flight operations while delivering exceptional service to guests. This is a home-based position with no relocation required.
Responsibilities
• Responsible for the safe operation of the aircraft during taxi, takeoff, flight, and landing in accordance with FAA regulations and company SOPs.
• Conduct thorough flight planning, including weather reviews for destination, en route, and alternate airports.
• Calculate and review aircraft weight and balance, fuel planning, and performance data.
• Greet guests prior to departure, provide safety briefings, verify itineraries, and communicate weather updates.
• Act as the final authority on the aircraft regarding operational and regulatory compliance.
• Supervise and direct the First Officer and coordinate assigned crew functions.
• Serve as the Inflight Security Coordinator.
• Represent the company when interacting with executive clients and charter partners.
• Maintain the professional appearance of the aircraft and complete required preflight inspections.
• Communicate maintenance discrepancies and complete all required documentation accurately.
Requirements
• FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate.
• Current FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
• Minimum 2,000 hours total flight time.
• Minimum 500 hours multi-engine flight time.
• Learjet 60 Type Rating.
• Minimum 300 hours Learjet 60 PIC time.
• Excellent time management and multitasking skills.
• Superior customer service skills.
• Physically able to perform all duties related to aircraft operation and passenger service.
• Ability to work varying schedules including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Must reside within driving distance of a company crew base.
Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree.
• 3,000 hours total flight time.
• 1,000 hours multi-engine flight time.
• Previous Part 135 Pilot in Command experience.
