Description
Position Summary
The First Officer is primarily responsible for the safe and efficient ground and in-flight operation of the aircraft within a Part 135 charter operation, working to exceed customer expectations while maintaining clear and effective communication with leadership, team members, and dispatch.
Responsibilities
• Report administratively to the Chief Pilot
• Hold primary responsibility for the safe and efficient ground and in-flight operation of the aircraft
• Anticipate customers’ needs and strive to exceed their expectations
• Comply with FAA regulations, the company’s General Operations Manual (GOM), Operations Specifications, and department operating procedures
• Maintain communication and coordination with the assigned crew, dispatch, maintenance, and administration
• Perform other duties as assigned by management or senior leadership
Requirements
• 1,000 hours fixed-wing total time
• 500 hours PIC total time
• Valid, unexpired US passport
• Commercial Pilot Certificate with Multi-Engine and Instrument Rating
• FCC Radio License
• Current, valid FAA First Class Medical Certificate
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Eligible to fly internationally into any country or jurisdiction without restrictions
• Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and willing to take on new challenges as the company grows
• Live within 2 hours of KLAS or one of Thrive Aviation’s remote crew bases
• Able to maintain a seated position in a small space for an extended period
Preferred Qualifications
• 1,500+ hours fixed-wing total time
• 50+ hours multi-engine time
• 500 hours total turbine time
• Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate
• Previous experience in corporate aviation / Part 135 charter
• Current type rating for an aircraft within the fleet
