Description

Position Summary
The Pilot-in-Command is responsible for the safe execution of ISR flights aboard the Beechcraft King Air B200 within a government contract intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) operation in the USSOUTHCOM area of responsibility. The role conducts day and night flight operations in all weather conditions in accordance with GFR-approved flight and operations procedures, host nation regulations, and Federal Aviation Regulations while performing all mission preparation from preflight planning through post-flight activities.


Responsibilities
• Fly as Pilot-in-Command in instrument and day/night conditions, providing Mission Sensor Operators with maximum station time and sensor efficiency.
• Perform all flight, performance, weight-and-balance, and fuel planning.
• Maintain flight planning, aircraft performance, and weight-and-balance planning software.
• Coordinate out-station refueling and associated flight planning.
• Coordinate international flights and obtain required diplomatic clearances, landing authorizations, and other required approvals.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.


Requirements
• FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate – Airplane Multi-Engine Land with Instrument Rating.
• 3,000 hours Total Flight Time.
• 2,000 hours Multi-Engine Fixed-Wing Flight Time.
• Beechcraft King Air B200 Type Rating (may be obtained during initial training).
• 5 years ISR experience.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Annual FAA-approved vendor recurrent training.
• Active DoD Secret Security Clearance.


Preferred Qualifications
• FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate – Multi-Engine Land.
• 1,000 hours in King Air platforms.
• Active Top Secret Security Clearance.
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent military experience.
• Multiple tours or assignments flying or supporting airborne ISR missions.
• Pilot experience supporting the USSOUTHCOM Combined Air Operations Center (CAOC).
