Position Summary

The Second in Command (SIC) is responsible for supporting the safe, efficient, and professional operation of the Learjet 45XR during Part 91 and Part 135 flight operations. The SIC assists the Pilot in Command with all phases of flight while ensuring compliance with applicable regulations, company procedures, and high standards of safety, customer service, and operational excellence.

Schedule
• Full-time.
• Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities
• Serve as Second in Command (SIC) during Learjet 45XR flight operations.
• Conduct preflight inspections and prepare or review flight plans.
• Review weather conditions for departure, destination, alternate airports, and en route operations.
• Calculate aircraft weight and balance, fuel requirements, and performance data.
• Ensure the aircraft is properly serviced and prepared for passenger safety and comfort.
• Utilize company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and checklists during all phases of flight.
• Coordinate with the Pilot in Command and assigned crew members to ensure safe and efficient operations.
• Assist with operational decisions regarding flight delays, cancellations, diversions, or route changes based on operating conditions.
• Maintain communication and availability with crew and operational staff during duty periods.
• Deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining a high level of professionalism.

Requirements
• Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate or ATP Written completed.
• Multi-Engine Land rating.
• Current FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
• Minimum 1,500 hours Total Flight Time.
• Minimum 150 hours Multi-Engine Flight Time.
• Valid passport.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to pass TSA background screening and required drug testing.
• Ability to obtain an airport ID badge and ramp driving privileges.
• Proficiency in radiotelephone communications.
• High school diploma.

Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Previous Part 91 and Part 135 operational experience.
• Strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Strong attention to detail and adaptability within a dynamic operational environment.
