Description
Position Summary
The Captain is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the Avro RJ aircraft as Pilot in Command (PIC) while supporting passenger charter, cargo transport, and customized flight operations.
Responsibilities
• Operate Avro RJ aircraft safely and efficiently as Pilot in Command (PIC)
• Stay current with flight information, including weather and applicable NOTAMs
• Verify Type A flight plans for accuracy
• Participate in pre-flight inspections
• Complete all required post-flight duties
• Maintain a strong commitment to safety culture
Requirements
• Current Canadian Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL)
• 4,000 hours total flight time
• 2,500 hours Multi-Pilot in Command (MPIC) on aircraft greater than 5,700 kg
• Current passport with the ability to travel to the United States and Europe
• Ability to obtain a Canadian Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC)
• Successful completion of pre-employment drug and alcohol testing
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
• 500 hours on jet aircraft
• High Arctic experience
• Glass cockpit experience
