Description

Position Summary

The Instructor Pilot is responsible for delivering simulator and classroom training to company flight crews while supporting the development of pilot training programs, curriculum, and regulatory compliance. This position conducts initial and recurrent training, proficiency evaluations, and promotes operational excellence through standardized instruction and safety leadership.

Responsibilities
• Conduct simulator flight training for company pilots.
• Deliver classroom instruction on assigned training subjects.
• Conduct initial and recurrent pilot training.
• Perform pilot proficiency evaluations.
• Assist in developing training curriculum, courseware, and instructional materials.
• Support certification of simulator, FTD, and FMS training programs.
• Deliver Crew Resource Management (CRM), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), checklist philosophy, briefing, and debriefing instruction.
• Maintain knowledge of regulatory requirements impacting flight operations.
• Inspect training quality and ensure compliance with company standards.
• Maintain accurate training records and required documentation.
• Support Safety Risk Management, Security, and Quality Management Systems.
• Promote teamwork, professionalism, and operational excellence.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.


Requirements
• FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate.
• Type Rating in at least one company fleet aircraft.
• Ability to travel.
• Knowledge of FAA regulations affecting pilot training.
• Knowledge of simulator-based training programs.
• Knowledge of instructional design principles.
• Strong verbal, written, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• Ability to evaluate pilot performance.
• Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office and CAMP.
• Ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.


Preferred Qualifications
• Minimum one year experience as a company pilot.
