Description

Position Summary
The Vision Jet PIC is responsible for conducting Part 135 charter and specialized medical missions while maintaining the highest standards of safety, professionalism, and operational excellence. This position works closely with medical teams, clients, and flight department personnel to ensure safe, efficient mission execution.


Schedule
• Full-Time
• Variable schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Must reside within one hour of Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) or be willing to relocate


Responsibilities
• Conduct charter and specialized medical missions
• Review upcoming missions to ensure safe and efficient flight operations
• Operate in compliance with the General Operations Manual (GOM) and FAA Part 135 regulations
• Participate in monthly and quarterly safety and training events with hospital partners
• Attend Flight Department and Maintenance staff meetings
• Prepare the aircraft for daily operations, ensuring readiness and required mission supplies
• Monitor weather conditions throughout all phases of flight
• Complete all required pre-flight planning, including weather briefings, weight and balance, and performance calculations
• Maintain a professional appearance and conduct
• Interact professionally with clients, medical personnel, patients, vendors, and team members
• Demonstrate leadership and effective crew resource management
• Maintain required certifications, training, and continuing education
• Assist with new initiatives and training events alongside program leadership


Requirements
• FAA ATP Certificate with Airplane Single-Engine Land (ASEL) endorsement
• First Class Medical Certificate
• Minimum 1,500 Total Flight Hours (Fixed-Wing)
• Minimum 200 Hours in Single-Engine Complex Aircraft
• Thorough knowledge of FAA regulations, including 14 CFR Part 135
• Active participation in a DOT Drug & Alcohol Testing Program
• Ability to pass a criminal background check
• No FAA violations or accidents
• Valid U.S. Driver’s License
• Valid U.S. Passport
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
• Must reside within one hour of FLL or be willing to relocate


Preferred Qualifications
• Vision Jet Type Rating
• Bachelor’s Degree in Aviation or Management
• Previous Part 135 experience
• Turbojet or two-pilot crew experience
• Flight instructor experience
