Description

Position Summary
The Second in Command (SIC) is responsible for maintaining qualification in assigned training programs and serving as Second in Command for internal and external customer pilots during recurrent, initial, and generic simulator training courses. This position performs SIC duties only and does not provide flight instruction.


Responsibilities
• Serve as Second in Command for customer pilots training in multi-crew aircraft without a flying partner
• Maintain SIC qualification in assigned training programs
• Maintain qualification in accordance with FlightSafety International Quality Management System (QMS) procedures
• Maintain all required certificates, ratings, and designations
• Serve as SIC in Part 142, Part 135, and non-FAA training programs


Requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Two to three years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate with appropriate category, class, and instrument ratings
• Minimum 450 total flight hours
• Ability to maintain all required SIC qualifications
• Fluency in English (spoken and written)
• Excellent cockpit communication skills
• Ability to interact professionally with customers
• Ability to adapt to changing schedules and high-pressure situations


Preferred Qualifications
• Second language (may be required at certain Learning Centers)
