Description
Position Summary
The Captain serves as Pilot in Command (PIC) for domestic and international Part 91 corporate flight operations. This position has final authority for the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of company aircraft while leading flight crews, ensuring exceptional passenger service, and maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism.
Schedule
• Full-Time

• Weekend and holiday work as required
• Extended trips as required
• Short-notice travel as required
• Must reside within 2.5 hours of San Jose, California or be willing to relocate
Responsibilities
• Serve as Pilot in Command (PIC) for domestic and international flight operations
• Ensure compliance with FAA regulations, international operating requirements, and company procedures
• Lead, supervise, and mentor assigned flight crews
• Promote Crew Resource Management (CRM) and a positive safety culture
• Conduct flight planning, aircraft performance analysis, weather evaluation, fuel planning, and aircraft readiness
• Coordinate customs, immigration, permits, and international operating requirements
• Verify required flight documentation and passenger travel documentation
• Ensure passenger safety, security, comfort, and service throughout each mission
• Make operational decisions that prioritize safety while balancing efficiency and customer service
• Maintain required certificates, training, type ratings, and operational currency
• Participate in the Safety Management System (SMS)
• Support departmental projects and initiatives
• Represent the flight department with professionalism and discretion
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree with eight years of experience or Master’s degree with six years of experience
• FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate
• Current FAA First-Class Medical Certificate
• Current type rating in at least one aircraft operated by the flight department, or the ability to obtain one upon hire
• 5,000 Total Flight Hours
• 3,000 Pilot-in-Command (PIC) Hours
• 2,000 Multi-Engine Turbine Hours
• Gulfstream experience
• Ability to obtain and maintain worldwide travel eligibility
• Valid passport and visas as required
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, extended trips, and short-notice travel
• Ability to successfully complete required background checks, security clearances, and recurrent training
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Aviation, Business, or a related field
• Five years of corporate aviation experience
• International flight operations experience
• Experience operating long-range business aircraft
• Leadership and Crew Resource Management (CRM) experience
• Experience operating within a Safety Management System (SMS) environment
• Strong decision-making and risk management skills
• Executive passenger support experience
