Being a first generation pilot, I have always had a keen interest in aviation since I was little. Started taking occasional flight lessons at 15 years old while in high school. Started true regular flight training while in college in 2019. Graduated from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in 2023 with a B.S. in Aeronautical Science and a minor in air traffic management. Spent a year after graduating actively building time in a flight club and training to be a CFI. Obtained both CFI and MEI certificates in July 2024 before being hired by Eagleview Technologies as an Aerial Survey Pilot flying the PA23-250 in August 2024. I have since spent the last two years at Eagleview, where I have greatly honed my skills as a professional pilot while solely responsible for an aircraft for a month at a time. I have learned to become independent, resourceful, and reliable as this job requires travel to unfamiliar locations and airspaces. Weather planning, route planning, ATC communication/coordination, and airspace navigation are all skills that have greatly been improved in my time since transitioning from student pilot to professional pilot.
