Position Summary
The Lead Captain & Flight Operations Manager is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the Bombardier Challenger 604 while providing leadership and oversight of the corporate flight department. This position ensures FAA Part 91 compliance, maintains aircraft readiness, manages departmental operations and budgets, and delivers a safe, reliable, and professional travel experience for company leadership and passengers.

• Variable schedule based on executive travel requirements
Responsibilities
• Serve as Pilot in Command (PIC) for Challenger 604 Part 91 operations
• Lead the day-to-day management of the corporate flight department
• Ensure compliance with FAA regulations, company policies, and safety standards
• Maintain aircraft readiness through proactive maintenance planning and vendor coordination
• Coordinate trip logistics, including fuel, ground handling, catering, transportation, customs, permits, and contract crew support
• Manage departmental budgets, operating expenses, and vendor relationships
• Develop and mentor flight crew members while promoting strong Crew Resource Management (CRM) practices
• Maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), safety documentation, and operational risk management programs
• Provide executive leadership with timely communication regarding aircraft availability, operational risks, and department performance
• Deliver exceptional passenger service while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism
Requirements
• FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate
• FAA First-Class Medical Certificate
• Bombardier Challenger 604 or CL-600 series Type Rating
• Minimum 5,000 hours total flight time
• Minimum 2,000 hours Pilot in Command (PIC) time
• Minimum 1,000 hours turbine PIC time
• Minimum 1,000 hours multi-engine flight time
• Significant Part 91 corporate aviation experience
• Strong knowledge of FAA regulations, international operations, aircraft performance, CRM, and operational risk management
• Experience coordinating aircraft maintenance and working with maintenance providers
• Ability to pass required background checks and drug screening
• Ability to work a flexible schedule and respond to changing travel needs
Preferred Qualifications
• Previous leadership of a corporate flight department
• Experience managing aircraft maintenance projects and work scopes
• Aviation budget management experience
• Experience negotiating with maintenance providers, FBOs, fuel vendors, and training providers
• Experience supporting executive leadership or ownership groups
• International flight operations experience
• Experience mentoring and developing pilots
