Position Summary
The Pilot in Command (PIC) is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the Embraer Phenom 300 during domestic and international Part 135 and Part 91 flight operations. This position serves as the final authority for aircraft operations, ensuring compliance with FAA regulations, company procedures, and operational standards while delivering exceptional service and supporting time-critical organ transport missions.
Home-Based (Eastern United States Preferred)
Schedule
• Full-Time
• Home-Based (Current hiring need is primarily on the East Coast)
• Travel as required to support flight operations
Responsibilities
• Serve as Pilot in Command (PIC) and exercise final authority over all assigned flight operations
• Conduct flights in accordance with FAA regulations, company manuals, and operational specifications
• Supervise flight crew members and ensure compliance with flight and duty time limitations
• Complete all required flight, aircraft, and passenger documentation accurately and on time
• Verify aircraft airworthiness through review of maintenance records and coordinate required maintenance activities
• Conduct pre-flight, post-flight, and routine aircraft inspections and servicing
• Coordinate itinerary changes with the Operations Control Center
• Ensure all required manuals, charts, and equipment are current and onboard the aircraft
• Verify passengers and crew possess required passports, visas, immunizations, and customs documentation for international operations
• Maintain operational control on behalf of the Director of Operations
• Identify and resolve operational, scheduling, maintenance, and crew-related issues
• Maintain strict confidentiality regarding client operations and sensitive information
Requirements
• FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate
• EMB-505 (Phenom 300) Type Rating
• Current FAA First-Class Medical Certificate
• Valid unrestricted passport
• Minimum 3,000 hours total flight time
• Minimum 1,500 hours Pilot-in-Command (PIC) time
• Working knowledge of FAR Part 135 and Part 91 regulations
• Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and internet-based applications
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
• Ability to successfully complete a comprehensive background investigation
• Completion of initial or recurrent aircraft training within the preceding 12 months
