I am currently working as a Radio Operator for Collins Aerospace in Livermore, CA. I assist with communications between aircraft, ATC and aviation personnel.

I also possess my Flight Instructor Certificate and Commercial Pilot with Instrument and multi-engine certificates.

Graduating from the University of North Dakota, it was easy to get hooked to create a passion in the best industry on earth.

I wish to continue that passion into anything and everything aviation.

Highlights

Safe Then Sorry
April 17, 2024 One night, preparing to do some solo pattern work I had noticed something odd. Everything was perfectly fine during the walk around. I was cleared to taxi and as soon as I checked the breaks to start, I felt the right wheel brake didn’t give the typical response. I thought maybe needed to pump hydraulic fluid and build some pressure. So on my next turns I would brake with a little more pressure. Doing this only made the signs that much clearer. That I did not have a right wheel brake and about to go land multiple times I did not feel comfortable at all. I called up ground and asked to taxi back telling them I might have a brake issue. They agreed and as one of the only aircraft out that night and with no instructor next to me I knew I had made the correct call. Safety is always priority especially with something so glaring but we do tend to overlook aspects when wanting to get things accomplished. I’m glad I can look back and use that experience as a motivator to keep a sharp eye even when by myself.
