Description

Position Summary

The Senior Pilot serves as Pilot in Command (PIC) conducting aerial photography and LiDAR acquisition missions in support of mapping and geospatial projects. This position is responsible for the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of turbine-powered aircraft while coordinating flight operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting successful airborne data acquisition throughout North America.


Schedule
• Full-Time.
• Extensive travel required.
• Overnight deployments exceeding 200 days per year.
• Night operations required.


Responsibilities
• Serve as Pilot in Command under FAA Part 91 operations.
• Conduct aerial photography and LiDAR acquisition missions.
• Coordinate daily flight scheduling and logistics.
• Maintain compliance with FAA regulations and company Flight Operations Manual (FOM).
• Review weather and recommend aircraft and crew relocations.
• Coordinate restricted and Class B airspace clearances.
• Maintain pilot logs, flight records, and operational reports.
• Participate in pilot training and safety meetings.
• Coordinate with maintenance and flight planning personnel.
• Present aircraft capabilities to clients when required.
• Report maintenance requirements and safety concerns.


Requirements
• High school diploma.
• FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate.
• Active Commercial Pilot Certificate.
• FAA Instrument Rating.
• FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
• Minimum 3,000 hours total flight time.
• Minimum 1,500 hours Pilot in Command.
• Minimum 1,000 hours turbine time.
• Recent flight experience meeting FAA Part 61 and 61.57 requirements.
• Valid passport with ability to travel throughout North America.
• Successful background check and drug screening.
• Approval by the Chief Pilot and company insurance carrier.
• Ability to provide flight instruction in assigned aircraft.


Preferred Qualifications
• Associate degree in Aviation or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 1,500 hours multi-engine land.
• Geospatial aerial acquisition experience.
• Aero Commander type experience.
• King Air 300 series type rating.
• Proficiency with aviation software and computer systems.
