Captain Helicopter Pilot
Description
Position Summary
The STAR VFR Pilot operates the Airbus AS350 B3e in support of air medical transport missions conducted under CAMTS guidelines. This position is responsible for safe and efficient VFR/NVG flight operations while supporting patient transport, company safety programs, and reliable service to medical teams and customers.
Schedule
• Full-time.
• 14 days on / 14 days off.
• Paid bookend travel days.
• 24-hour operations with day and night rotation.
• Travel required.
• Location varies.
Responsibilities
• Perform line pilot duties in accordance with the General Operations Manual.
• Conduct safe and efficient air medical transport operations.
• Support patient loading and unloading as required.
• Work with internal and external customers to provide safe, efficient, courteous, and reliable service.
• Participate in community outreach programs.
• Support the company Safety Management System and Destination Zero safety initiatives.
• Maintain compliance with company policies and applicable CAMTS operational requirements.
• Maintain required flight qualifications and operational readiness.
Requirements
• FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate with Rotorcraft-Helicopter rating.
• Helicopter Instrument Rating.
• FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
• Minimum 2,000 hours total flight time.
• Minimum 1,500 hours helicopter flight time.
• Minimum 1,000 hours helicopter PIC.
• Minimum 500 hours turbine helicopter flight time.
• Minimum 100 hours unaided night operations, or 50 hours unaided night and 100 hours NVG.
• Must meet and maintain the company flight personnel weight restriction of 235 lbs. or less.
• Must successfully complete the required interview and receive acceptance from customer/company management.
• Must pass a pre-placement physical examination, functional capacity assessment, drug screening, and background screening.
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs. to assist with loading and unloading patients and equipment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong internal and external customer service skills.
