Captain Instructor
Description
Position Summary
The Captain A320 Instructor serves as an A320 Captain while providing training and development for company pilots in accordance with applicable regulatory and operational standards. The role combines aircraft command responsibilities with simulator, line, and competency-based instruction focused on pilot knowledge, skills, attitude, and resilience.
Responsibilities
• Ensure the safety and security of passengers, crew, cargo, and aircraft
• Exercise full command of the aircraft during assigned flight operations
• Lead flight and cabin crews using effective decision-making and crew resource management
• Conduct authorized training duties in accordance with GCAA CAR-FCL and CAR-AIR OPS regulations
• Deliver high-quality training to company pilots
• Develop pilot knowledge, skills, competencies, and operational resilience
• Maintain established instructor competencies and training standards
• Provide training system and course feedback
• Serve as a professional role model for other personnel
Requirements
• Minimum 5,500 hours Total Flight Time
• Minimum 2,500 PIC hours on multi-crew, glass-cockpit aircraft
• Minimum 1,500 PIC hours on the A320 Family
• Flown the A320 Family within the last 12 months
• A320 type rating valid for at least two months at time of joining
• Unrestricted and current ICAO ATPL
• Current on the A320
• Unrestricted and current Class 1 Medical Certificate
• Must not have attained age 59 on the day of joining
• Minimum ICAO English Level 4
• Minimum three years as an A320 Instructor and/or Examiner (TRI/TRE)
• Minimum 1,000 hours FSTD training
• Minimum 1,000 hours LIFUS/IOE experience
• Strong technical knowledge
• Inflight relief hours count at 75% toward applicable minimum flight-hour requirements
Preferred Qualifications
• Current TRI/TRE
• MPL, Cadet, or Ab-initio training experience
• Evidence-Based Training (EBT) experience
• AQP/ATQP experience

Compensation
• Potential annual package up to AED 674,029 / USD $181,589 based on 75 flying hours per month
• FSTD four-hour session: AED 1,300 for TRI / AED 1,600 for TRE
• LIFUS or Line Evaluation of Competence: AED 800 per rotation plus AED 300 per sector plus applicable flying-hours pay
