Description
Position Summary
The Lear 45 Captain is responsible for the safe and timely operation of assigned flights while maintaining compliance with company policies and Federal Aviation Regulations. The Captain serves as the operational leader of the assigned aircraft, overseeing flight safety, crew performance, aircraft readiness, and passenger service.

• Schedule varies based on assigned flight operations
Responsibilities
• Safely and efficiently operate assigned flights in accordance with company policies and Federal Aviation Regulations
• Determine aircraft airworthiness and review weather, field conditions, navigational aids, and other operational factors
• Maintain responsibility for the aircraft throughout the designated duty period
• Supervise assigned crewmembers and their enroute performance
• Maintain proficiency and knowledge of applicable aircraft systems, procedures, and flight operations
• Conduct appropriate pre-flight and post-flight inspections
• Review existing and forecast weather for departure, arrival, and alternate airports
• Ensure flights are properly planned and fueled
• Assist with aircraft, passenger, baggage, and cargo handling when other personnel are unavailable
• Notify crew and passengers of turbulence, adverse weather, and other operational factors
• Assess operational risk and utilize appropriate resources to maintain acceptable levels of safety
• Perform additional flight officer duties as assigned
Requirements
• FAA Unrestricted Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate with Airplane Multi-Engine Rating
• Current FAA First-Class Medical Certificate
• Valid FCC Radiotelephone Operator’s Permit
• Minimum 2,500 hours Total Time
• Minimum 1,000 hours Fixed-Wing PIC
• Minimum 1,000 hours Fixed-Wing Multi-Engine
• Minimum 500 hours Fixed-Wing Jet
• Minimum 500 hours Multicrew
• Must have been actively flying during two of the past five years
• Minimum 23 years of age at time of hire
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid U.S. driver’s license
• Valid passport
• Ability to travel unrestricted to and from the United States
• Authorization to work in the United States
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
• Ability to successfully complete required training
• Ability to pass required drug testing, fingerprint-based criminal history check, and background check
• Maintain accurate pilot training history in accordance with FAA Pilot Records Database requirements
Preferred Qualifications
• Lear 45 Type Rating
• Lear 45 Captain experience
• Previous U.S. Part 135 or Part 121 experience
