Description
Position Summary
The First Officer supports the Captain in the safe, secure, and efficient operation of Airbus wide-body aircraft in international airline service. The role assists with flight preparation, navigation, aircraft operation, and operational decision-making while developing the experience and leadership capabilities required for future command.
Responsibilities
• Assist the Captain with flight preparation, navigation, and aircraft operation
• Ensure compliance with company operating procedures and regulatory standards
• Maintain a continuous and independent check of aircraft position, terrain, and weather
• Provide clear communication, advice, and operational support to the Captain
• Contribute to safe and efficient flight deck decision-making
• Maintain high standards of discipline, conduct, and professionalism
• Assume command in accordance with company procedures in the event of Captain incapacitation
Requirements
• Meet either Criteria A or Criteria B
• Criteria A: Minimum 2,500 hours Total Flight Time
• Criteria A: Minimum 1,500 hours on multi-crew, glass-cockpit MPA aircraft
• Criteria A: Minimum 1,000 hours on any Airbus Wide Body FBW or Boeing wide-body aircraft
• Criteria B: Minimum 3,000 hours Total Flight Time
• Criteria B: Minimum 2,000 hours on any Airbus Wide Body FBW or Boeing wide-body aircraft
• Flown an Airbus Wide Body FBW or Boeing wide-body aircraft within the last 12 months
• Type rating on an Airbus Wide Body FBW or Boeing wide-body aircraft valid for at least two months at time of joining
• Unrestricted ATPL or valid Frozen ATPL issued by an ICAO member state
• Frozen ATPL/CPL holders must provide ATPL theoretical knowledge examination results and an integrated ATPL course completion certificate
• Unrestricted and current Class 1 Medical Certificate
• Must not have attained age 50 on the day of joining
• Minimum ICAO English Level 4
