Description
Position Summary
The First Officer supports the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of Boeing 737 flights throughout Canada, the United States, Mexico, and the Caribbean. This position assists the Pilot in Command with flight planning, aircraft operation, operational decision-making, and crew coordination while maintaining regulatory compliance and professional operating standards.
Schedule
• Full-time.
• Minimum monthly guarantee of 75 flying credits.
• Overtime eligibility after 88 hours.
• Guaranteed 12–13 days off per month, averaging approximately 15 days off.
Responsibilities
• Conduct detailed pre-flight inspections of aircraft systems, records, and operational requirements.
• Assist the Pilot in Command with aircraft operations throughout all phases of flight.
• Monitor weather, aircraft performance, and operational conditions and provide timely information to the PIC.
• Prepare and review flight plans, NOTAMs, performance calculations, and other operational data.
• Identify potential operational disruptions and support appropriate actions to maintain safe and efficient operations.
• Assist with crew and passenger communications regarding weather, turbulence, and other operational considerations.
• Coordinate with Maintenance, SOCC, Dispatch, ATC, and other operational teams.
• Maintain current knowledge of aircraft systems, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and applicable regulations.
• Maintain strong situational awareness, Crew Resource Management (CRM), and workload management throughout flight operations.
• Perform additional operational duties as assigned.
Requirements
• Valid Transport Canada Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL), or Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) with successful completion of the IATRA or SAMRA/SARON examinations.
• Valid Transport Canada Category 1 Medical Certificate.
• Minimum 1,000 hours Total Fixed-Wing Flight Time.
• Multi-crew IFR operating experience.
• Familiarity with Transport Canada regulations applicable to commercial flight operations.
• Valid passport with unrestricted ability to travel to and from the United States and other international destinations.
• Legal authorization to work in Canada without restriction.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Restricted Area Identification Card (RAIC).
• Ability to successfully complete background and criminal record checks.
• Ability to successfully complete pre-employment alcohol and drug screening.
• Strong Crew Resource Management (CRM), communication, decision-making, and workload management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
• Boeing 737 MAX or NG experience.
• Previous commercial airline operating experience.
• Strong knowledge of CARs 602/604/703/704/705.

Compensation
• $93,627–$152,172 annually in accordance with the Collective Agreement.
• Minimum monthly guarantee of 75 flying credits.
