Position Summary

The Flight Operations Flight Instructor supports Instruction operations by providing classroom and simulator training to pilots in accordance with Federal Aviation Regulations, approved training programs, and applicable flight operations training requirements. The position facilitates pilot learning and provides technical instruction designed to support safe and reliable flight operations.

Schedule
• Full-time.
• Rotating schedule based on operational requirements, which may include evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime.
• Extended hours and overnight travel may be required.
• Position is based on-site during scheduled working hours.

Responsibilities
• Prepare and conduct classroom and simulator training for pilots.
• Facilitate pilot learning and provide effective flight operations instruction.
• Develop instructional and evaluation materials supporting pilot training programs.
• Maintain course materials and procedural integrity through self-study, skills practice, critique reviews, and instructor meetings.
• Operate applicable flight training equipment, including computer-based training systems and flight simulators.
• Participate in required Line Observation Programs.
• Maintain the knowledge and proficiency necessary to deliver accurate technical instruction.
• Successfully complete required annual flight evaluations.
• Perform additional training-related duties as assigned.

Requirements
• FAA Unrestricted Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate with Airplane Multi-Engine Land rating and English Proficient limitation.
• Paper or electronic pilot logbook documenting at least the most recent 500 hours of flight time.
• Flying experience operating an aircraft.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid U.S. Driver’s License.
• Must be at least 23 years of age.
• Must meet regulatory requirements to obtain and maintain Flight Deck Jumpseat Access, including continuous enrollment in Rap Back.
• U.S. citizenship or current authorization to work in the United States.
• Must not require employment sponsorship now or in the future.
• Knowledge of flight training instructional duties and applicable FAR training requirements.
• Ability to read and interpret technical aircraft documentation and instructions.
• Ability to operate flight training equipment and applicable computer-based training systems.
• Must meet the physical requirements necessary to operate flight simulators and participate in required flight observation activities.
