Bridger Aerospace is an aerial firefighting company specializing in Air Attack, fire suppression, and aerial mapping, supporting wildfire operations with advanced aircraft and technology across the United States.


Position Summary

The Air Attack Pilot (PIC) operates the Kodiak 100 in wildfire environments, supporting aerial coordination, surveillance, and mission execution under Part 91/135 operations. This role follows an 11 on / 11 off schedule, typically running February through November, with required exclusive availability from June 1 through October 1.


Responsibilities

• Operate aircraft safely under Part 91/135 regulations
• Conduct Air Attack, surveillance, mapping, and cargo missions
• Maintain compliance with SOPs, GOM, and OpSpecs
• Coordinate with operations and fire dispatch for mission execution
• Apply sound decision-making and crew resource management
• Complete all operational and regulatory documentation accurately
• Maintain aircraft systems knowledge and flight proficiency
• Assist with ground operations including fueling, towing, and cleaning
• Support maintenance with engine runs and aircraft repositioning


Requirements

• 1,500 Total Flight Hours
• 1,200 Airplane Hours
• 500 Cross Country Hours
• 200 Category/Class Hours
• 200 PIC Mountain Time
• 100 PIC Airplane (last 365 days)
• 100 PIC Turboprop
• 100 Night Hours
• 75 IFR Hours
• 50 IFR in-flight
• 25 PIC in Kodiak K-100
• FAA ATP or Commercial Certificate (ASEL + Instrument)
• First or Second Class Medical
• Valid Passport


Preferred Qualifications

• 50 PIC in make and model
• Wildland fire experience
• Alaska or backcountry experience
• Formal risk-based training (Human Factors, Flight Safety, etc.)
