Position Summary
The STAR VFR Pilot operates as a line pilot in a helicopter air medical environment, supporting life-saving missions while ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant flight operations under CAMTS guidelines.
Responsibilities
• Perform line pilot duties in accordance with company procedures
• Safely transport patients and medical crews
• Support Safety Management System and safety initiatives
• Assist with loading and unloading patients and equipment
• Maintain compliance with FAA and company policies
• Provide professional communication with internal and external teams
• Participate in community outreach programs
Requirements
• FAA Commercial Helicopter Certificate
• Instrument Rating
• First Class Medical
• 2,000 Total Flight Hours
• 1,500 Helicopter Hours
• 1,000 PIC Helicopter Hours
• 500 Turbine Helicopter Hours
• 100 Night Hours (or NVG equivalent)
• Must meet 235 lb weight requirement
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to pass physical, drug screening, and background check
Preferred Qualifications
• NVG experience
• Previous HEMS or Part 135 experience
