Description
Position Summary
The Phenom 300 Captain serves as Pilot in Command for charter and corporate flight operations aboard a floating aircraft. This position is responsible for safe and compliant aircraft operations, flight crew leadership, operational decision-making, and professional passenger service across domestic and international assignments.
Schedule
• Full-time, FLSA-exempt position.
• Floating aircraft position with the ability to live anywhere in the United States.
• Rotating four-crew-member schedule of 8 days on / 6 days off.
• Variable flying schedule based on operational demand and aircraft owner travel requirements.
• Evening, weekend, and on-call availability required.
• Domestic and international trips may include early departures, late arrivals, overnights, and multi-day assignments.
• 100% travel.
Responsibilities
• Serve as Pilot in Command of the Embraer Phenom 300 (EMB-505).
• Exercise operational control and final go/no-go authority for assigned flights.
• Conduct operations in accordance with applicable FAR Part 91 and Part 135 requirements and established operating procedures.
• Lead preflight planning, weather analysis, NOTAM review, and flight preparation.
• Ensure compliance with flight, duty-time, and rest requirements.
• Provide leadership, mentorship, and operational guidance to assigned First Officers.
• Review aircraft flight and maintenance records and coordinate discrepancies with maintenance personnel.
• Ensure required aircraft manuals, charts, documentation, and equipment are current and available.
• Complete required flight, aircraft, passenger, and regulatory documentation.
• Coordinate international operations in accordance with FAA, ICAO, customs, immigration, and applicable foreign aviation requirements.
• Provide professional passenger service throughout assigned operations.
Requirements
• FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate.
• Current FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
• Current Embraer Phenom 300 (EMB-505) Type Rating.
• Minimum 3,000 hours Total Time.
• Minimum 1,500 hours PIC.
• Minimum 500 hours Multi-Engine PIC.
• Minimum 250 hours PIC in the EMB-505.
• Minimum 250 hours Turbine PIC on assigned aircraft.
• Initial or recurrent training on the required aircraft type completed within the preceding 12 months.
• Working knowledge of FAR Part 91 and Part 135 operations.
• Valid state driver’s license and passport.
• Ability to pass required background check and pre-employment drug screening.
• Ability to maintain applicable FAA medical and physical standards for Part 135 PIC operations.
Preferred Qualifications
• Previous Part 135 or corporate flight operations experience.
• Experience mentoring and developing junior pilots.
• Extensive international flight operations experience, including ICAO airspace, overwater procedures, and customs coordination.
• Experience with flight scheduling and dispatch platforms.
• Previous participation in Safety Management System programs, operational audits, or fleet standardization initiatives.
