Position Summary
The DHC-7 Captain is responsible for the safe operation of the aircraft while supporting charter and scheduled service operations throughout Northern Canada and other assigned locations. The Captain maintains responsibility for the aircraft, crew, passengers, and cargo while ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and operating procedures.

Schedule
• Full-time
• Position requires work away from base
• Travel to and from the aircraft is required

Responsibilities
• Serve as Pilot in Command of the DHC-7
• Safely operate the aircraft in accordance with the Aircraft Flight Manual, SOPs, and Company Operations Manual
• Perform required pre-flight, in-flight, and post-flight duties
• Ensure crew members perform their duties in accordance with operational policies, procedures, and government regulations
• Maintain responsibility for the safety of crew members, passengers, and cargo
• Maintain command responsibility from acceptance of the aircraft and crew through release or reassignment from duty

Requirements
• Minimum 4,000 hours Total Flight Time
• Minimum 2,500 hours PIC
• Current or previous DHC-7 type experience
• Northern/Arctic flying experience
• Thorough knowledge of Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs)
• Ability to obtain a Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC)
• Valid Canadian Passport
• Valid Driver’s License
• Legally entitled to live and work in Canada
• Ability to adapt to changing operational situations
