Description
Position Summary
The Falcon 900EX Lead Captain supports corporate Part 91 flight operations while serving as a flight crewmember and providing leadership for the assigned flight department. The position combines PIC/SIC flight duties with crew oversight, training coordination, aircraft scheduling, operational compliance, and account management responsibilities.
Schedule
• Full-time.
• Part 91 operation.
• Approximately 200 flight hours annually.
• Contract arrangements are not available.
Responsibilities
• Serve as Pilot in Command or Second in Command of the Falcon 900EX as designated.
• Ensure safe aircraft operations and compliance with applicable regulations, operational specifications, manuals, procedures, and directives.
• Complete required preflight and post-flight duties and inspections.
• Monitor flight and maintenance schedules and coordinate aircraft availability requirements.
• Manage flight crew schedules, days off, vacation requests, currency, training, and evaluation requirements.
• Monitor crew performance and support annual performance reviews.
• Coordinate required crew training and recommend additional professional development when appropriate.
• Review and approve crew expense reports and assist with monthly billing and aircraft-related invoices.
• Coordinate scheduled and unscheduled maintenance requirements and assist with aircraft-on-ground events.
• Maintain required aircraft operational authorizations, documentation, and fleet compliance requirements.
• Communicate trip requests, schedule changes, and operational requirements to appropriate flight operations personnel.
• Support the selection and interviewing of flight department personnel.
• Maintain a primary residence within a two-hour drivable commuting distance of KBZN.
Requirements
• FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate.
• DA-900 Type Rating.
• FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
• Must meet applicable FAA Part 91 and/or Part 135 requirements for the assigned aircraft.
• Must maintain required flight currency.
• Valid and unexpired driver’s license.
• Valid and unexpired passport.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
