Description

Position Summary
The Lead Captain serves as Pilot in Command for assigned Gulfstream G500 flight operations within a Part 91 corporate flight department. The role is responsible for the safe, efficient, and professional operation of company aircraft while providing leadership, mentoring flight crews, promoting a strong safety culture, and ensuring exceptional service for passengers.


Responsibilities
• Serve as Pilot in Command for all assigned flight operations
• Conduct pre-flight and post-flight inspections
• File flight plans and evaluate weather and route conditions
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all aircraft systems and operating procedures
• Mentor, train, and develop flight crew members
• Conduct crew performance reviews
• Coordinate crew scheduling and training
• Promote safety, security, and regulatory compliance
• Conduct passenger safety briefings
• Coordinate aircraft discrepancies with maintenance personnel
• Maintain flight manuals, aircraft documentation, and trip records
• Assist with flight crew recruiting and hiring
• Represent Jet Aviation professionally with passengers, customers, and colleagues
• Perform additional duties as assigned


Requirements
• FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate
• FAA First Class Medical Certificate
• High School Diploma
• Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record
• Five years of aviation experience
• 3,500 hours Total Fixed-Wing Flight Time
• 1,500 hours Pilot-in-Command Flight Time
• 1,500 hours Multi-Engine Flight Time
• 500 hours Turbojet Flight Time
• 500 hours Turbine Flight Time
• 100 hours Night Flight Time
• 75 hours Simulated Instrument Flight Time
• Ability to travel worldwide without restrictions
• Ability to work a flexible schedule


Preferred Qualifications
• College Degree
• Strong leadership and crew management experience
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
• Aviation management experience
