Description

Position Summary

The CE525 (CJ3+) / SF50 Instructor Pilot provides pilot services, flight instruction, simulator instruction, and mentoring for single-pilot jet operators. This position supports Citation CJ3+ and Cirrus SF50 operations while delivering high-quality training, maintaining regulatory compliance, and promoting a culture of safety and exceptional customer service throughout all flight operations.


Schedule
• Full-Time
• Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as required


Responsibilities
• Serve as Pilot in Command for scheduled pilot service assignments
• Provide ground, simulator, and flight instruction for CE525 (CJ3+) and SF50 clients
• Mentor pilots to improve operational proficiency and safety
• Complete preflight planning and flight preparation
• Maintain accurate training, flight, and regulatory records
• Monitor weather and operational factors affecting flight schedules
• Ensure pilot qualifications and required documentation remain current
• Coordinate with instructors and customer service personnel to optimize training schedules
• Assist with fleet database, chart, and document updates
• Promote safety and compliance with FAA regulations and company procedures
• Support marketing efforts and client relationship development


Requirements
• FAA ATP Certificate
• CFI, CFII, and MEI Certificates
• CE525 Type Rating
• Current FAA First or Second Class Medical Certificate
• Minimum 5,000 hours total flight time
• Minimum 2,000 hours turbine time
• Minimum 1,000 hours jet time
• Minimum 500 hours CE525 time
• Minimum 1,250 hours dual instruction given
• Strong communication, decision-making, and customer service skills
• Ability to work flexible schedules
• Reside in or relocate to the San Francisco Bay Area
• Legal authorization to work in the United States
• No history of FAA violations, license suspensions, or accidents resulting in enforcement action


Preferred Qualifications
• SF50 Type Rating
• Part 135 or Part 142 experience
• Corporate aviation experience
• Experience operating in San Francisco, Los Angeles, and New York airspace
• Additional aircraft type ratings
• Bachelor’s degree or military service
• Extensive G1000/G3000 experience
