The Certified Flight Instructor provides flight and ground Instruction while supporting student development throughout their flight training. The position focuses on teaching, evaluating student performance, maintaining training records, and preparing students to meet applicable FAA certification standards.

Responsibilities
• Provide flight and ground instruction in accordance with FAA regulations, approved syllabi, and established training standards.
• Conduct pre-flight and post-flight briefings covering safety, aircraft performance, procedures, and aeronautical decision-making.
• Teach Part 141 ground school classes and maintain student ground training records.
• Train and evaluate student pilots against applicable FAA knowledge and certification standards.
• Prepare students for FAA knowledge tests, stage checks, practical tests, and other required evaluations.
• Monitor student progress and develop individualized training plans when additional instruction is needed.
• Maintain accurate student training records, logbooks, endorsements, and required documentation.
• Maintain proficiency in aircraft systems, operating procedures, emergency procedures, and instructional techniques.
• Provide constructive feedback and mentorship to student pilots.
• Document and communicate aircraft discrepancies and maintenance concerns.
• Support compliance with applicable 14 CFR Part 141 training requirements.

Requirements
• FAA Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) Certificate.
• Valid FAA Medical Certificate.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications
• FAA Certified Flight Instructor – Instrument (CFII) Certificate.
• Multi-Engine Instructor (MEI) Certificate.
• Previous training through a Part 141 flight school.
