Description
Position Summary
CAE is seeking an Embraer 145 Instructor Pilot to deliver simulator and ground school training, conduct pilot evaluations and briefings, and serve as a subject matter expert supporting pilot development, training excellence, and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities
• Deliver flight simulator and ground school training in accordance with regulatory requirements, company curriculum, and customer expectations
• Conduct professional pre-flight and post-flight simulator briefings
• Serve as a subject matter expert for customer training and internal course development
• Complete training records and maintain instructional qualifications
• Recommend remedial training when necessary
• Provide instruction for licenses, type ratings, certificates, and internal qualifications
• Support qualification as a Training Center Evaluator (TCE) and customer contract check airman after approximately 1.5 years, subject to business need
• Maintain compliance with training standards and regulatory requirements
Requirements
• Unrestricted ATP Certificate or completion of ATP Written
• Must be authorized to work in the United States
• Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and internet-based programs
• Participation in DOT Drug and Alcohol testing program
• Strong communication skills
• Passion for teaching and pilot development
• Ability to ascend and descend ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, and poles
• Ability to work in confined spaces when required
• Ability to remain seated or standing for prolonged periods
• Ability to move objects up to 20 pounds occasionally
Preferred Qualifications
• Unrestricted PIC Type Rating preferred
• FAR Part 135 experience preferred
• 3,000+ total flight hours preferred
• Experience flying business aircraft preferred
• Prior instructional or training experience preferred
• Ability to tailor training content to diverse customers
• Strong attention to detail and recordkeeping skills
• Customer-service mindset
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
