Description

Position Summary

The Flight Instructor III provides advanced ground, simulator, and flight instruction in accordance with FAA Part 141 and Part 61 training requirements. This position supports Private Pilot, Instrument Rating, Commercial Pilot, Certified Flight Instructor, and Additional Aircraft Rating training while mentoring junior instructors, maintaining training records, and promoting a culture of safety, professionalism, and standardization.


Schedule
• Full-Time.
• Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM.
• Travel as required.


Responsibilities
• Provide ground, simulator, and flight instruction in accordance with FAA regulations and approved training course outlines.
• Deliver instruction for Private Pilot, Instrument Rating, Commercial Pilot, CFI, and Additional Aircraft Rating courses.
• Evaluate student performance and document training progress.
• Conduct pre-flight and post-flight briefings and debriefings.
• Maintain student training records, logbooks, and computer records.
• Coordinate student scheduling and make-up training as needed.
• Promote a strong aviation safety culture and submit safety reports when appropriate.
• Mentor junior flight instructors and support curriculum development.
• Coordinate student progression with the Chief Flight Instructor, Training Manager, and other stakeholders.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.


Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Minimum two years of aviation or military flight operations experience.
• Minimum 50 hours instructor time.
• Minimum 750 hours Pilot-in-Command.
• FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate.
• FAA Instrument Rating.
• FAA Certified Flight Instructor (CFI).
• FAA Certified Flight Instructor – Instrument (CFII).
• FAA Multi-Engine Instructor (MEI).
• FAA Class I or II Medical Certificate.
