Description

Position Summary

The Flight Simulator Instructor is responsible for delivering engaging and educational simulator experiences for customers using Boeing 737-800 fixed-base flight simulators and virtual reality flight simulators. This position combines flight instruction, customer service, and retail support while providing a professional, safe, and enjoyable aviation experience for customers ranging from first-time flyers to professional pilots.


Schedule
• Casual Position
• 4–8 hour shifts
• Weekday, evening, and weekend availability required
• Minimum of four weekend days per month


Responsibilities
• Instruct customers in a Boeing 737-800 Category B fixed-base flight simulator
• Conduct simulator sessions using virtual reality flight simulators
• Provide exceptional customer service throughout each customer experience
• Assist with retail sales of flight experiences and aviation merchandise
• Perform general retail and store duties as assigned
• Maintain a professional, engaging, and safety-focused training environment


Requirements
• Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) preferred; PPL or student pilots with strong commercial aviation knowledge may be considered
• Pilot licence does not need to be current
• Customer service and sales experience
• Friendly, outgoing, and professional communication skills
• Knowledge of Boeing 737 operations and instrument flying preferred
• Ability to work a minimum of four weekend days each month
• Reside within the Sydney area
• Ability to complete approximately 6–8 training days over a two- to three-week period


Preferred Qualifications
• Current or previous Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL)
• Multi-Engine Command Instrument Rating (MECIR)
• Professional or home flight simulator experience
• Knowledge of Boeing 737 flight deck systems and procedures
• Strong sales and customer engagement skills
• Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced customer service environment
