Description

Position Summary
The Instructor Pilot delivers simulator and ground school instruction using approved curriculum while preparing pilots for type ratings, recurrent training, and other qualification programs. This position serves as a subject matter expert, ensuring training meets FAA regulations, customer requirements, and training center standards.


Schedule
• Full-Time
• Occasional international travel and extended stays as required
• Opportunity to qualify as a Training Center Evaluator (TCE) after approximately 1.5 years based on business needs


Responsibilities
• Deliver simulator and ground school training in accordance with FAA regulations, approved curriculum, and customer requirements
• Serve as a subject matter expert throughout all phases of training
• Provide simulator, flight, and classroom instruction for licenses, type ratings, certificates, and pilot qualifications
• Conduct pre- and post-simulator briefings
• Complete training records and administrative documentation
• Recommend remedial training when necessary
• Support curriculum and courseware development as a subject matter expert
• Maintain instructor qualifications and required documentation
• Foster a professional, customer-focused learning environment
• Maintain accurate records in accordance with FAA requirements


Requirements
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 3,000 Total Flight Hours
• 2–5 years of relevant experience
• FAA ATP Certificate
• One unrestricted PIC Type Rating
• Authorization to work in the United States
• Basic Microsoft Office and computer proficiency
• Ability to participate in a DOT Anti-Drug & Alcohol Testing Program
• Excellent English communication skills
• Strong listening and presentation skills


Preferred Qualifications
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree
• Previous teaching or training experience
• Existing instructor qualification or type rating
• FAR Part 135 experience
• SAAB 2000 Type Rating
• Previous Part 142 Instructor and/or Training Center Evaluator experience
• Business aviation experience
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong customer service and record-keeping skills
