Description

Position Summary

The Air Ambulance Captain is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of multi-engine aircraft supporting patient transport missions throughout northern Canada and beyond. This position conducts IFR operations while leading crews during time-sensitive medical transportation missions.


Responsibilities

• Exercise final authority for the safe operation of assigned aircraft
• Conduct air ambulance and patient transport missions
• Operate in IFR and multi-crew environments
• Perform flight planning, weather analysis, and operational risk assessments
• Coordinate with medical personnel and operational support teams
• Maintain compliance with company procedures and regulatory requirements
• Ensure the safety of patients, crew members, and aircraft


Requirements

• Valid Canadian Commercial Pilot License (CPL) or Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL)
• Valid Category 1 Medical Certificate
• Legal right to work in Canada
• Ability to relocate to Whitehorse, Yukon, Canada or Mayo, Yukon, Canada
• Strong communication and decision-making skills
• Commitment to safety, professionalism, and teamwork
• Minimum 2,000 hours Total Time
• Minimum 500 hours Multi-Engine PIC Time
• Minimum 500 hours Mountainous Flying Experience
• Minimum 100 hours PIC on Type


Preferred Qualifications

• Air ambulance experience
• IFR multi-crew operational experience
• Mountain flying experience
• Northern operations experience
