Description

Position Summary
The Pilot In Command is responsible for conducting special mission flight operations aboard Beechcraft King Air C90 and B200 aircraft in varying weather conditions while supporting international weather modification missions. The position also assists with aircraft and mission equipment maintenance, supports meteorological operations, maintains accurate flight records, and promotes safe, professional, and efficient mission execution.


Responsibilities
• Operate aircraft during special mission operations
• Assist with maintenance of aircraft and special mission equipment
• Replenish seeding agents as required
• Keep project meteorologists informed of storm and cloud development during operations
• Maintain accurate flight records
• Maintain a clean and organized aircraft, office, and work area
• Provide 24-hour, 7-day weather watch as needed
• Provide positive public relations while maintaining a professional image and team environment
• Provide operational updates to WMI key personnel following missions
• Perform other duties as assigned


Requirements
• FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate – Multi-Engine with Instrument Rating
• Current FAA First or Second Class Medical Certificate
• 2,500 hours Total Flight Time
• 500 hours Turbine Flight Time
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Fluent in written and spoken English
• Valid Passport
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise tact and discretion
• Willingness to relocate and travel internationally


Preferred Qualifications
• Multi-Engine Flight Time
