Description
Position Summary
Flight Instructors are responsible for providing high-quality flight, ground, and simulator instruction while supporting student success in a safe, professional, and customer-focused training environment.
Responsibilities
• Provide flight, ground, and simulator instruction to enrolled students
• Conduct introductory and discovery flights for prospective students
• Provide Flight Review (BFR) ground and flight instruction
• Provide currency and proficiency training as requested
• Conduct aircraft checkouts and endorsements by make and model
• Assist students with scheduling flight and ground training appointments
• Complete student and instructor logbook entries
• Teach ground school sessions as assigned
• Refer students to other instructors when appropriate to support training goals
• Ensure course standards and training requirements are met
• Recommend qualified students for FAA practical tests
• Maintain a clean and professional environment in aircraft and facilities
• Stay current with instructional techniques and training materials
• Monitor aircraft maintenance conditions and report discrepancies
• Coordinate with multiple departments to support safe and efficient operations
• Deliver exceptional customer service to students and customers
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Chief Flight Instructor
Requirements
• FAA Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) – Airplane Single Engine Land (ASEL)
• Current FAA Medical Certificate
• Current proficiency to CFI PTS standards in ASEL aircraft
• Knowledge of FAA regulations, oral and practical test standards, and instructional techniques
• Ability to provide effective classroom and flight instruction
