Position Summary
The Flight Instructor provides industry-leading, learner-centric flight and ground training to Cirrus customers in SR and SF model aircraft at the Cirrus Services Center in Scottsdale, AZ.
Responsibilities
• Provide flight and ground instruction in accordance with Cirrus training standards
• Conduct training events using structured syllabus and course materials
• Record training activities and student performance accurately
• Assess pilot performance across multiple learning domains
• Act as PIC in Command for demonstration, ferry, and training flights
• Perform pre-flight and post-flight duties, including inspections and aircraft care
• Support lesson planning, flight preparation, and safety management
• Maintain deep knowledge of Cirrus aircraft systems and procedures
Requirements
• Commercial Pilot Certificate
• Commercial Airplane Single Engine Land
• Instrument Airplane
• FAA Flight Instructor Certificate
• Airplane Single Engine and Instrument Instructor ratings
• Current Second-Class Medical or higher
• Three years of pilot experience required
• 1,000 dual given hours or 750 Cirrus instruction hours
• SF50 Type Rating required
• Must meet ATP Single Engine requirements under FAR 61.159
• 150 hours turbine time or currently employed as a pilot by Cirrus
Preferred Qualifications
• ATP Certificate preferred
• IFR experience in congested airspace
• Mountain flying, extensive IMC, international, and night experience preferred
