Position Summary
Seeking a Criminal Investigator (Pilot) to support federal law enforcement aviation operations, including surveillance, reconnaissance, fugitive transport, prisoner transport, emergency response, and specialized investigative missions. This position is responsible for safely operating agency aircraft while supporting complex criminal investigations and maintaining the highest standards of safety, professionalism, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities
• Conduct flight operations supporting criminal investigations and enforcement missions
• Perform surveillance, reconnaissance, air photography, and electronic tracking operations
• Transport fugitives, prisoners, personnel, and sensitive cargo
• Conduct emergency evacuation and marijuana eradication missions
• Plan and execute flight missions in support of investigative operations
• Coordinate domestic and international operational flight missions
• Provide real-time aviation support during law enforcement operations
• Collaborate with federal, state, local, and international law enforcement agencies
• Prepare investigative reports and operational documentation
• Testify in court proceedings when required
• Maintain aircraft safety, airworthiness, and regulatory compliance

Requirements
• U.S. Citizenship
• Retired under FERS or CSRS as an eligible Federal Annuitant meeting announcement requirements
• Current FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate or Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate
• Airplane Multi-Engine Land Rating with Instrument Rating
• FAA First Class Medical Certificate (issued within the previous 12 months)
• Valid State Driver’s License
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Security Clearance
• Successful completion of a full-scope pre-employment polygraph
• Successful completion of a pre-employment medical examination
• Successful completion of a DEA flight assessment
• Successful completion of required drug screening
• Willingness to sign a nationwide mobility agreement
• Completion of a Federal Criminal Investigator training program
• Minimum 1,500 Total Flight Hours
• Minimum 250 Pilot-in-Command (PIC) Hours
• Documented flight review within the previous 24 calendar months

Preferred Qualifications
• Flight experience in the ATR
• Flight experience in the King Air 200/300
• Previous Federal Criminal Investigation training eligible for abbreviated academy
• Previous law enforcement aviation experience
