Description
Position Summary
The Gulfstream V Pilot serves as Pilot in Command or Second in Command for Other flight operations supporting domestic and international airborne data acquisition missions. Operations include precision aerial survey, functional check flights, and specialized mission profiles requiring worldwide rotational deployments, including operations in austere environments.
Schedule
• Full-time.
• Remote position with extensive travel.
• Rotational deployments throughout CONUS and potentially austere OCONUS locations.
• Additional work hours may be required based on operational needs.
Responsibilities
• Serve as PIC or SIC aboard modified Gulfstream V aircraft during airborne data acquisition missions.
• Conduct precision aerial survey operations based on mission-specific sensor requirements.
• Perform functional check flights.
• Support mission planning, crew mobilization, weather decisions, and airspace coordination.
• Conduct pre-flight and post-flight briefings with mission personnel.
• Operate in accordance with Federal Aviation Regulations, applicable government regulations, and established flight procedures.
• Maintain communication with flight operations leadership while deployed.
• Coordinate professionally with domestic and international government representatives.
• Operate independently in field and austere environments worldwide.
Requirements
• FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate with Multi-Engine and Instrument Ratings.
• FAA Second Class Medical Certificate.
• Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance.
• Minimum 3,000 hours Total Time.
• Minimum 1,500 hours Multi-Engine Turbine.
• Minimum 500 hours Multi-Engine Turbojet.
• Minimum 1,000 hours PIC.
• Minimum 300 hours PIC in similar aircraft.
• Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit.
• Current U.S. passport.
• Valid driver’s license and International Driving Permit.
• Ability to obtain necessary international visas.
• Must maintain required medical certificates, type ratings, recurrent training, and contractual pilot qualifications.
• Must complete required pre-deployment training, DOT drug testing, and medical examination.
• Ability to obtain and maintain required government security clearance eligibility.
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications
• Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate.
• Gulfstream V Type Rating and/or current proficiency in large-cabin multi-engine turbojet aircraft.
• International PIC experience.
• Previous U.S. government operational flight experience.
• ISR, aerial mapping, or airborne data collection flight experience.
• Previous overseas military or government rotational experience.
• Familiarity with DCMA Instruction 8210-1C or Army Regulation 95-20.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
